CONDUCT OF THE IB EXAMINATIONS
Notice to candidates
FHS May Exams:
ALL Exams are in the Large Lecture Room (Study Hall Room)
- AM
Exams begin at 8:15
- PM
Exams begin after early lunch at 12:35 (eat early lunch)
- You
are school sponsored for the time you are in the examination room.
IB RULES OF EXAMINATION:
- Candidates
must know their session number (001505 - _ _ _)
- Candidates
must bring a photo ID.
- When
instructed to enter the examination room, candidates must do so in a quiet
and orderly manner.
- Follow
the seating chart.
- The
Examiner MUST be obeyed. The
Examiner has the right to expel any person whose behavior is interfering
with the proper conduct of the examinations.
- No
electronic devices are allowed.
Calculators, if needed, will be provided. You may use your own calculator IF you give it to Frau
Schlange the day before the exam to purge all programs.
- Candidates
may take to their desk only the
following items:
- Pens,
pencils, colored pencils, highlighters, erasers, rulers (no white-out is
allowed)
- All
exams must be taken in black pen, with the exception of multiple- choice
questions in the sciences, and graphs created in any topic area, which
may be created in pencil.
- Teddy
Bears, stuffed Tigers or other talisman (really!)
- Water
- Tissue
(for tears of joy on completing the exam)
- All
other testing material, such as scratch paper,ex will be provided for
you.
Personal Items brought to the examination:
- All
personal items must be stored at the front of the room, and may NOT be
taken to the CandidateÕs desk.
- All
electronic items must be turned off.
- If a
cell phone in a backpack goes off, the entire bag will immediately be
thrown outside the room. No
interruptions will be tolerated.
Advice to Candidates:
- Get a
full nightÕs sleep.
- You
have worked all year, and your efforts will be rewarded.
- FHS
has a 100% pass rate on IB exams. Your teachers have prepared you well.
- Relax. In IB you are given time to read
through all the questions before beginning the exam. Time will not be an issue.
